After spending a week or so straight watching the Olympics, Kristin and I decided we needed a night off. Instead, we watched a few episodes of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. On one of the episodes he spent some time in Minesota at a bar with "boutique" burgers.

One of the burgers that he ate sounded so bizarre, that sometimes you just have to try it for yourself.

Toast a bun and cook a hamburger on the grill. Spread glob of peanut butter on the burger while still on the grill so it melts. Add a healthy serving of mayo.

Yes, you read that right. Peanut butter and mayo.

They were awesome, and we plan on eating them that way again.

Corinn is 3 months today. She's pushing 12 lbs, so she has come leaps and bounds since day one.

Corinn has learned to smile, and occasionally sleeps though the night!

..Girl!

She's 5 weeks early, but a little charmer none the less. Corinn Joy at 1 hour old in the recovery room with Mom: 4 lbs. 14 oz. and 15.5 inches long.

Mom and baby are doing fantastic.

Momma Garland's Tomato Pie Recipie

By popular request!

Ingredients:
9" Frozen pie crust (plain)
8 Large, ripe tomatoes, sliced 1/2" thick, cut in halves
1/4 Cup chopped chives (or more to taste)
1/4 Teaspoon dried basil (or more to taste)
1/4 Teaspoon salt (optional)
1/4 Teaspoon pepper (optional)
Two 8oz packages of grated swiss or cheddar cheese (use one or both!)
1 Cup mayonnaise

Assembly:
Cook pie crust according to directions. When cooked, place tomato slices in crust and sprinkle with chives and seasonings. Mix mayonnaise and cheese in a medium size bowl and spread over the top of the pie.

Cooking:
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 35 minutes until the cheese os browned and bubbly. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
